April 3, 1927 - October 10, 2018

Funeral services for M.C. "Jack" Kidd, 91, of Lamesa will be held Saturday October 13, at 1:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with his son, Pastor Alan Wilson and Pastor Tobey Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Jack passed from this life to his eternal rest October 10, 2018. He was born in Dawson County to McCager and Susie Kidd on April 3, 1927. Jack was called home to the presence of his Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ this past Wednesday. Jack loved his Lord, family, farming and his country. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a corporal from 1951-1952. He loved farming and worked the family place by Patricia for many years. In 1974 he and Alice met at church and a friendship began that grew into love over the next eight years resulting in marriage in 1982. Jack loved singing gospel hymns and a good humorous story from time to time. He will be dearly missed by all who he knew and loved him. Jack is survived by his wife, Alice Ashley Kidd of Lamesa; brother, Vernon Kidd of Lamesa; children, Deanne Green of Carrollton, Leanna Adams of Lubbock, and Alan Wilson of White Deer; and 5 grandchildren, Maegan Brewster, Holland Swanson, Graham Wilson, Lilly Wilson, and Payton Adams. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alfred, Johnnie, Bill, James, and Marvin Kidd; sister, Velma Kidd Love; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to Second Baptist Church, 1705 N Bryan Ave, Lamesa, TX, 79331.
