David Bush

Lubbock, TX

David and I worked together for several years at Americot/West Gaines Seed. One of my most pleasant memories is tagging along with him on some of his sales calls back in the early days when the seed business was just getting started. David had a direct approach to seed sales. He would go into a gin office with a bag of fresh donuts in one hand and an order book in the other. David had a genuine interest in and love for his fellow man. In the three-quarters of a century David lived on this planet he probably never intentionally hurt anyone. Not many people can say that. That is a real achievement. He was a good person. He will be missed

While I have only known David for about 10 years, I knew from the first day I met him, that this was indeed a very special man. A man who loved his family, his friends, his co-workers and all his customers. He loved his job and the cotton industry as a whole. Those of us who had the opportunity to get to know him, truly enjoyed his wisdom, insight and knowledge of our industry. He will be missed by all who knew him, but it is my prayer that we can all find some comfort in the knowledge of knowing that David has now been reunited with his loved ones who reside in heaven.
