Williams Family

Condolences to the Jones family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.

Bennie Lybrand

Tyler, TX

Mike was a person who you never realized was in the room until you needed help, needed a job done, or needed words of encouragement. Then his presence was made known big time. Mike will be missed by many people. I am glad I got to visit with Mike last fall. Even though it was after closing time, and my visit was longer than I had planned, he wasn't in any hurry for me to leave. Even though my visits were infrequent, when I left I always felt I had just been with a friend whom I had recently seen. Even though Mike was soft spoken and didn't talk a lot what he had to say you needed to hear and remember. I will miss my infrequent visits with him. Family, I am praying for you as you transition to a time without Mike. May God bless.

Mike was a person who could be in the room without you knowing it until you needed help, a job done, or words of encouragement. Then he made his presence known big time. I am so glad I stopped by and visited him at his place of business last fall. Even though it was after hours and it was an extended visit he wanted me to stay longer than I did. Now I wish I had. He was soft spoken but what he had to say needed to be heard and remembered. Even though my visits with Mike were infrequent, when I left I always felt I had been with a friend whom I had seen recently. I will miss my infrequent visits with Mike. My prayers are with the family.

Ric Bell

Carlsbad, NM

I met Mike in my early teens (60's) when he was dating my sister whom he later married. He has always been in my life and I loved him like a brother, truly a great soul, I will always remember Mikey and laugh a little when I think of him. Never a dull moment, I could tell you the story of when he brought two baby pigs in the trunk of his car to my younger brother in Carlsbad, but that is another story...

Uncle Mike is godfather to my sister Martha and me. My heart is broken. Fondest memories are of Mike and his guitar and asking him to play Rocky Raccoon over and over. My condolences and prayers to the family.

Who didn't love Mike Jones? Everyone that came into his life - enjoyed him - his humor - his music - and, most of all, his kindness. Rest in peace Mike Jones.

Matthew - what a great Dad you had - he loved you so much. I loved him.

Pam Palmore Koehler

Lamesa, TX

Mike was a good friend to my dad Johnny Palmore and to my husband Jimmie Koehler. Mike would come to Eiland Lumber to visit them and Daniel and Gume Valenzuela and other men in the Lumber Yard. His shop was next door on 4th and Dallas Avenue.

Mike was a very special person and loved by many. May God be with him and his family. Love, Pam Palmore
