Rose Ann Kiefer

Memorial services for Rose Ann Kiefer, 80, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Medley and Roy Byrd officiating. Private interment will be held in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rose Ann passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Lamesa. She was born September 3, 1937 in San Antonio to Caroline (Bulsterbaum) and M.O. Kiefer. She was a member at Klondike Baptist Church and worked in the preschool department for many years. After she moved to Lamesa she became a member at First Baptist Church. During the 70's and 80's she and her mother were members of Gospel Grandmas and they would visit places like nursing homes and would entertain the residents. Rose Ann also enjoyed babysitting her nieces and nephews. She was very talented at needlework and embroidery. She was an artist and created very unique sketches. Rose Ann was musically inclined and had a beautiful singing voice. She loved her family, friends, and people. She always had a smile on her face. She is survived by her sisters, Joye Payton and husband, Ronnie of Lamesa, and Marian Monk of Rockwall; nieces and nephews, Shirley Steele of Dallas, Tina Knight and husband, David of Lamesa, Paige Wilson Parks of Rockwall, Shane Kiefer and wife, Tabathy of Lindell, Marda Monk of Grand Prairie, and Chance Payton and wife, Kristi of Lamesa. Rose Ann is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Aubrey Kiefer.
