Lynn O'Brien

March 16, 1950 - February 1, 2019

Graveside services for Lynn O'Brien, 68, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Adams officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, February 4, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 p.m at Branon Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Lynn surrendered to her battle with Alzheimer's disease Friday, February 1, 2019 in Amarillo. She was born March 16, 1950 in Lamesa to James "Speck" and Dorothy (Inman) Miller. She married Bill O'Brien September 7, 1968 in Irving. They were married 50 years. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and Medical Arts Hospital with Dr. Chong. She also worked as a disc jockey for a local radio station and at Town and Country and Stripes. She drove a school bus for Klondike ISD where she earned the nick name, "Crazy Lynn". She loved Bingo and playing games. Lynn was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother and she would do anything to take care of her family. Her family would like to thank the caring staff at The Craig Senior Living Center and BSA Hospice of the Southwest for the extraordinary care they provided to Lynn and her family. She is survived by her husband, Bill O'Brien of Lamesa; children, Wes O'Brien and wife Stephanie of Amarillo, Branden O'Brien and wife, Karrie of Lamesa, and Mindi Hamilton and husband, Brent of Odessa; brother, Robert Miller and wife, Cheryl of Lamesa; grandchildren, Tyler Trammell, Colton O'Brien, Carsyn O'Brien all of Lubbock, Hadleigh O'Brien of Canyon, Hannah O'Brien of Lubbock, Kelby O'Brien of Canyon, Brendel O'Brien, Amberlee O'Brien, Hannah Nichole O'Brien, Jesus Gutierrez, Nick Gutierrez, and Nathan Gutierrez all of Lamesa; and great-grandchildren, X'Zavien Gutierrez, and Alaijah Edwards both of Lamesa. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda McMillan. The family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, or Alzheimer's Association.
